		For 7 years an informal group of midwives from San Miguel de Allende has fundraised each spring to provide hundreds of Mexican midwives an opportunity to attend the MANA (Midwives Alliance of North America) - Mexico Annual Conference.

		Now, as a "hoop" of Mujeres en Cambio, we are formalizing our efforts and expanding our scope and goals. We intend to continue to fund scholarships to the MANA-Mexico conference each spring and seed other experiential learning programs for Mexican Midwives regionally through throughout the year.

		With over 28,000 midwives doing approximately 50% of the births in Mexico, the need for increased sharing and educational opportunities is clear.
